Analog signal - digital signal

An analog or analogue signal is any continuous signal for which the time varying feature (variable) of the signal is a representation of some other time varying quantity, i.e., analogous to another time varying signal. For example, in an analog audio signal, the instantaneous voltage of the signal varies continuously with the pressure of the sound waves. It differs from a digital signal, in which a continuous quantity is represented by a discrete function which can only take on one of a finite number of values.

Niños premiados en el Concurso Zero Robotics

"Zero Robotics" is a robotics programming competition where the robots are SPHERES satellites inside the International Space Station.

Imaginemos una carrera de Fórmula 1 pero a 400 kilómetros de la superficie terrestre. En la Estación Espacial Internacional. En vez de coches, compiten estas dos esferas. Los pilotos son estudiantes como ellos pero no están al volante. Han programado desde sus ordenadores los movimientos de las esferas. El día de la competición sólo tenían una oportunidad, Su programación en ese entorno de microgravedad. Sus órdenes han sido tan buenas que han quedado terceros en el concurso Zero Robotics. Han participado unos 130 estudiantes, ellos pertenecen a la Escuela de Pensamiento matemático, una institución privada a la que acuden una vez por semana.
